PARK SHELTER RESERVATIONS

Are you looking for a natural setting to have a wedding, family picnic, birthday party, BBQ, family reunion, or company picnic? We have the ideal setting for you. Ten shelters spread out over 418 wooded acres, sprinkled with modern playgrounds, a large outdoor family-friendly pool, two sand volleyball courts, and much more are available in Alameda Park. Most of the shelters have water and electricity, and are very reasonably priced. We can also add the entertainment to your festivities. The infamous Alameda Park Scavenger Hunt, the Park Olympics, games for all ages, face painting, music, and much more are available. If you are interested in scheduling additional entertainment, please call the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department. Shelter Reservations are taken at the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department office, located in Alameda Park. The first day of shelter reservations is always the last Friday in February, and reservations are taken at the County Government Center, in the Public Meeting Room. The doors will open at 7:30 a.m., and reservations will be taken from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Reservations will resume at the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department at Alameda Park, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

v The consumption of alcohol within Alameda Park is prohibited without a permit.

v All permit applications may be obtained at the Butler County Parks and Recreation  Department.  (Alcohol permits are $20.)  Alcohol Permits will not be issued for the Rotary Shelter.
